I was born a developer. I was also born an entrepreneur.
As an entrepreneur you are required to wear many different hats. This means I am constantly torn away from developing into the worlds of marketing, management, meetings and any other “thing” that needs to be done (and you don’t have somebody to delegate it to)
This leaves me conflicted as I am forever wanting to be coding, though I do enjoy most of the other activities as well.
The problem with wearing so many hats is that you become the proverbial “Jack of all trades, master of none” (Though I’m hoping these 18 hour days at least push me close to proficient in a number of areas). Without Mastery, however, comes google; often many hours of searching in order to find a way to do this, or know that. Once the answer is found, the knowledge is 20/20 in hindsight. It is my hope that by posting the details of any variety of my recent victories that your search may be slightly less arduous!
